ADULT LEADER TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

 

 

Diocese of St. Petersburg Requirements

 

·         Complete the "Covered Volunteer Application Form" (Turn this form in with your BSA Adult Application)

·         Attend a Dioces sponsered "Safe Environment Program" Training class for children and youth.

·         Have your Fingerprinting for Level 2 Background Check completed through the Diocese SEP office.

 

Basic Training for all Leaders

 

·         This is Scouting (replaces New Leader Essentials)

·         Youth Protection Training

 

Supplemental Training for all Leaders (On-line)

 

·         Climb on Safely

·         Safe Swim Defense

·         Safety Afloat

·         Trek Safely

·         Weather Hazards

·         ScoutParent Unit Coordinator

 

Cub Scout Leader Trainings

 

·         Fast Start On-line: Cubmaster, Tiger Den Leader, Wolf/Bear Den Leader, Webelos Den Leader, Pack Committee

·         Position Specific: Cubmaster, Tiger Den Leader, Wolf/Bear Den Leader, Webelos Den Leader, Pack Committee

·         BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation)

·         Outdoor Leader Skills Training for Webelos Den Leaders

·         Wood Badge for the 21st Century (optional)

 

 

On-line training courses may be completed at olc.scouting.org. Other courses will be available throughout the year as offered by District and Council Training Staffs.
